AGE LIMIT

Upper Age Limit for Offered Courses

  1. The upper age limit for admission to a UG Degree Programme is 21 (twenty-one) years as on 1st July of the admission year.
  2. For SC / ST / MBC / BC / OBC candidates and women candidates, the age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
  3. For other communities, the Principal may relax the age limit by up to 3 years based on merit.
  4. A relaxation of 5 years is permitted for Physically Challenged candidates, as per G.O. Ms. No. 239, dated 03.09.1993.
  5. Candidates from states other than Tamil Nadu will be considered under the OC category.
  6. There is no age limit for a PG Degree Programme.

APPLICATION FEES

MJC accepts both online and offline applications from candidates.

Application Form fee: Rs. 300 for UG (Rs. 250 for BC / OBC & SC / ST candidates), payable at the time of first payment to the Institution during the admission registration process.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The procedure for admission of candidates to any UG / PG programme of MJC is as follows

  1. The candidate logs on to www.mjc.ac.in and submits her Expression of Interest (EOI), or visits the MJC campus / nearest Spot Admission Centre (SAC) to collect the application form.
  2. The filled-in application form, along with the necessary certificate copies, is submitted to the Centralized Admission Cell (CAC) at the MJC campus, or to a Spot Admission Centre (SAC), for registration.
  3. On receiving the application, the Admission Committee scrutinizes it for eligibility.
  4. Once eligibility is confirmed, the candidate pays Rs. 10,000/- as the first payment to continue the admission process (or Rs. 1,000/- on the day of registration, with the remaining Rs. 9,000/- payable within the stipulated period, if registration and payment do not fall on the same day).
  5. Selected candidates must submit their original certificates.
Incomplete Applications

MJC does not take responsibility for informing candidates who have submitted an incomplete application. Candidates are advised to ensure their application is complete in all respects before submitting it, online or offline.

FEE PAYMENT

Details of the academic fee and hostel fee are available in the prospectus.

  1. Candidates can pay the remaining fees online or offline, on or before the due date.
  2. Candidates who do not pay the required first-semester / first-year fee before the due date may not be able to join the Institution.
  3. Candidates are requested to pay the remaining fee on time to secure enrolment in their respective courses.
Submission of Documents during Admission

Original documents, along with two photocopies of each certificate, must be submitted at the time of admission.
