Silambam is a traditional martial art in which the weapon is swirled and struck with a seething rage and lightning speed. It throws up a gripping show for the spectators. Ms.Abinaya, II – BA (English) wielded the Silambam stick for one and half hours continuously. This was placed in the Phoenix World Record Book. She awarded with the title of “Pride of Nation-2021” and presented the medal of merit and certificate of honour by Universal Tamil University.
