National Voter’s Day is celebrated every year on 25th January. This day was first celebrated in 2011 to mark Election Commission’s Foundation Day. Through National Voter’s Day, the Election Commission’s objective is to increase the enrollment of voters, especially of the newly eligible ones. Working on this objective, on 25th January, 2022, the National Service Scheme (NSS) organized a pledge taking ceremony, to celebrate the right to vote and the vibrant democracy of India.
The Principal, Dr.T.H.Nazeema addressed college students about the relevance and importance of celebrating this day and encourage them to participate in the electoral process. All college staff members and students had taken Voters Pledge, to uphold the democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections.
