To mark the 133rd birth anniversary of legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, National Mathematics Day was celebrated by Department of Mathematics on 22nd November 2020, at 5:00PM through Google Meet. Ms.Nithya, Head of the department of Mathematics, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Mathematics in various fields. Ms.Shanmugapriya, Assistant Professor, presented views on the usage of Mathematics in routine life and advised the students to develop problem solving skills. She also recited a self-written poem as a tribute to Srinivasa Ramanujan.

          The students enthusiastically exhibited their talents by participating in various competitions like Math Quiz, Poster Making, Math Connections, Speech, Poetry, etc. The prizes were announced at the end of the session and E-certificates were sent to their mail. The Math day celebration paved way for the students to know about this great mathematician and also its activities gave them a fruitful experience.
